System Requirements
Cabulous currently runs on iPhone 3G and 3GS. (It is possible to run it on an original
iPhone, but the lack of GPS will make your position on the map less accurate.) It
will also work in most modern web browsers (that’s not you, IE 6 users).
We’re working on apps for other smartphone platforms.

Questions and Answers
A big part of the Cabulous San Francisco beta test is getting feedback and questions
from drivers and passengers. We’ll do our best to keep our
FAQs page up to date.
Things We Are Working On
We’re currently in beta, and everyone using Cabulous is a beta tester. We’re counting
on you to find problems and to suggest new features – that’s the point. Here are
a few things we are already working on:
- 1) The driver’s cab number doesn’t appear in the car’s bubble when you touch it.
(Working on it.)
- 2) It would be nice in some cases to be able to enter a pick-up address rather than
rely on GPS or dragging the pin on the map. Sure, it kind of defeats the benefit
of Cabulous helping the driver see where the passenger really is, but still – we’ll
be putting that in.
- 3) The “meet here” pin should rise to the tip of your finger when you drag it, so
you can see where you are placing it. (Yep…working it.)
- 4) There ought to be a web version of Cabulous, so that I can hail a cab from my
laptop in the cafe. (We agree…lot of work, but on its way.)
- 5) I ought to be able to use Cabulous on a lot of different phones, not just the
iPhone. (Yeah, we started on iPhone as the “reference platform” to get things right
before we dove into other platforms. Working on Blackberry and Android…others to
follow.)

In-App Tips
Cabulous has a terrific internal messaging system that allows us to send help tips
directly from our server to your app. We have already included several tips to help
new users know what they can do with Cabulous, and we can add to these and modify
existing ones at any time.
